Lead Digital Innovation Specialist

The Sheikh Zayed Academy for Boys is looking to appoint a Lead Digital Innovation Specialist to join our dedicated and talented teaching faculty in August 2024. Exceptional CPD opportunities are available to all teachers including the NPQML, NPQSL and NPQH.
Responsibilities include:
- Line manage staff with Digital Innovation responsibilities.
- Liaise with the IT Manager to ensure the school has suitable infrastructure to support Digital Innovation.
- Support teachers to plan and prepare for effective integration of digital and innovative approaches.
- Support teachers to use a variety of appropriate resources and teaching strategies, to create lessons which cater to different abilities to motivate and engage all students.
- To assess quality and effectiveness of SZPAB’s Digital Innovation on a regular basis.
- Lead the application of Apple Distinguished Schools and review regularly.
- Mentor teachers through Apple designations to further develop the school.
- Support teachers to utilize the best digital and innovative approaches to assessment and teacher/student dialogue.
- Plan and deliver effective PD and support to all staff.
- Research and trial new apps and approaches which could benefit the school.
- Engage students and staff in digital citizenship and internet safety awareness.
- Follow the phase / subject expectations in regard of communication with parents.
- Oversee strategies to ensure appropriate use of iPads.
- To support Phase Leads in meeting the school’s development plan through Digital Innovation.
- To work with Phase Leads to monitor all online programs supporting curriculum ensuring ongoing renewals for needed programs.
