Welcome to our school community

Since our founding in 2015, guided by the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, this school has been built on a simple conviction: that a student who understands where they come from is better equipped to decide who they want to become. As Principal, I see that conviction tested and proven daily, in the classroom, on the sports field, and throughout the school.

That conviction is reflected in the recognition our school has earned: Outstanding ratings in both the ADEK Irtiqaa inspection and the National Identity Mark, an achievement held by only three schools in Abu Dhabi, alongside accreditation from CIS and NEASC. We were also the first K-12 school in the Middle East to earn Apple Distinguished School status, which says as much about the environment our teachers work in as it does about the technology in our classrooms.

It also shows up in programs unique to SZPAB. Our Nakhla Program, named for the palm tree, roots our youngest students in their language and heritage while building the STEAM skills they will need for what comes next. Our Military Leadership Program, delivered with the UAE Armed Forces, and the Eyal Zayed Program, run with Abu Dhabi Police, extend that same balance, building discipline, loyalty, and civic responsibility into daily school life. Together, these three programs make for an education distinctly rooted in the UAE's past, and just as firmly built for its future.

There is real pride, among staff, students, and families alike, in what this school has built. That pride does not make us complacent: every year, we ask how to do this better, within a culture built on care and respect, practiced daily in how staff and students treat one another.

Our curriculum reflects that same intent. It is built around transferable skills, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, delivered by expert staff who know both their subject and their students well. These are the skills that hold their value long after the specifics of a lesson are forgotten, and they are what we mean when we talk about equipping students for life.
