Personal Assistant to the Head of Early Childhood and Elementary

The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls is looking to appoint an experienced Personal Assistant who will be responsible for providing administrative, secretarial and general support to the Head of Early Childhood and Elementary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
- Act as interpreter.
- Translate communications for the secondary school from English to Arabic and from Arabic to English.
- Attend meetings, record and distribute minutes/actions.
- Screen telephone calls, enquiries and requests and resolve them when appropriate.
- Assist in the logistics for school events.
- Responsible for ADEK system for secondary school fieldtrips and external visitors.
- Perform any other relevant duties as requested by administration.
- Provide backup reception duties during staff breaks/absences/days of specific events.
- Manage, organize and update relevant data database applications.
- Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical workday, where tasks require additional commitment.

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Inclusion Teacher to join our team and work with our students who have special needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Head of Inclusion to provide specialized support and guidance to students with SEN in grades 6-12. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and external support services to develop and implement tailored learning plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction and support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate students with SEN into mainstream classroom activities and ensure their inclusion in all aspects of school life.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development, using this information to inform the creation of personalized learning goals and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, regularly reviewing and adjusting individual education plans (IEPs) in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers on effective strategies for differentiation and inclusion, promoting a culture of diversity and acceptance within the school community.
- Work closely with parents/carers to establish effective communication channels and foster collaborative partnerships in support of students' educational and emotional well-being.
- Keep abreast of best practices and developments in the field of special education, participating in professional development opportunities and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
To be considered for the role you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
OR
- PGCE or equivalent qualification in Education and a SEN Diploma
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in SEN teaching
